HYDERABAD: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday appealed to people to avoid public congregation in view of Coronavirus.
"All the ulemas and Muftis have said that Friday prayers will be shortened. Please do wazu at your home and read sunnat at your home and come. Crowd at weddings should also be restricted and prior police permission shall be taken," said Owaisi.

Owaisi, calling coronavirus highly infectious, said that Covid-19 is a challenge which has to be overcome.
"Public should corporate so that virus doesn't spread. I hope we overcome this. Two major celebrations Shab e Meraj and Shab e Barat are also being cancelled," said the Hyderabad MP at a press conference who also thanked chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for passing a resolution against CAA, NRC and NPR. A delegation of Muslim clerics, along with Owaisi, met Rao and extended support to government in the fight against coronavirus.
